The office is filled with anticipation today.
Everyone knows there is much goodness to come.
Some have already left, some are still here tying up loose ends,
Everyone hopes no news happens tomorrow.
December has always been a special time for me.
The love in my home as a child was abundant.
But for the past four years I have had something even more wonderful to celebrate.
We began dating Dec. 27, 2008, in what seems like forever and also just days ago.
I’m not sure what I did before he was in my life, but I know it pales in comparison to now.
I hope for many things in 2012—and every single one of them includes Adam.
He has made me the happiest girl and I love him even more for that.
Before I get sappy all over this blog post I should clarify.
I just finished penning this weeks editorial on our 2011 year in review section.
My nostalgia is in high gear.
2011 was a good year for me.
One I will never forget.
I want to go home and do Christmasy stuff, but there is nothing to do.
All the baking is done, all the presents are wrapped.
All there is now is to wait.
Adam’s and I made the trip to Iowa last weekend.
Our little Kyle Wilson finally tied the knot.
He was glowing all day.
Makes me smile.
Drove through Cashew Inn for lunch today.
Sometimes I really miss that place.
Mostly at lunch and dinner time.
Maybe something special for dinner tonight?
SINCE I HAVE THE DAY OFF TOMORROW. :)
Chicken and dumplings might be good.
We have had a lot of chicken lately.
We shop at Sam’s Club.
I changed my text message beep.
I got tired of being out in public, hearing the tri-tone, checking my phone and not having a message.
The one problem with the iPhone—everybody had the same ringer.
Now I have the telegraph.
Reminds me of old time newspaper editors getting stories off the wire.
I think I need some coffee.
Or maybe just to go home and take a nap.
I’m about done with this day and this blog.
Not very funny.
That’s all I can really ask.
